today daddy and ema watched in awe as i rolled over from my back to my tummy. devon wasn't quite sure what all the fuss was about. he promptly squeezed himself under my gymini and showed off his rolling skills. we were all duly impressed and he was rather pleased with himself, as was i!

families who bathe together stay together

last week when daddy went to go play soccer he thought ema might have a hard time taking care of both devon and me while he was gone. so did she. but we got along really well. ema was able to cook and eat dinner with devon while taking breaks to give me my dinner. but when daddy came home, he looked all over the house trying to find us. ema, devon and i were all delighted when he found us taking a family bath. it was so much fun! it's a good thing ema and daddy have a really big bathtub! once we all got out of the tub, ema managed to snap a few photos of devon and i drying off together:

ryan and his mom sally came to visit us last week. we had a great time playing together, as you can see in these great photos:

we feel so lucky to live near grandmom and grandpa. we get to spend lots of time with them and they help ema and daddy take care of sophie and me. here are some recent pictures of grandmom hanging out with sophie and me:

purim carnival

we had a purim carnival at my school a couple of weeks ago and it was sooo much fun! i told ema that i wanted to be a lion, so kiva loaned me his halloween costume and i got to be a lion. everyone said i looked like a great lion, and i think you'll agree. on the morning of the carnival, ema realized that we had a great costume for sophie. as you can see, she was a little leopard. and ema decided to get into the spirit of things and dressed up as a wild cat tamer! unfortunately, i don't have a photo of her 'cuz she was taking all the pictures. but lots of people at the carnival thought our costumes were great! here's a picture of sophie and me:

my favorite part of the carnival was the huge obstacle course they had for us to play on. here i am climbing through a hole, up the ladder and then right before i came down the slide. it was so much fun!!!

me too! me too!

i kept telling my big brother devon that i wanted him to share his blog for me and he's finally agreed to change it into a blog all about us and to let me post my thoughts and pictures, too!

so, i have many, many pictures to share with everyone. but let's start with this collage of all the people who have come to visit and hold me. soon, i'll get back online and post some more, but right now, it's time for another snack and then a little shut-eye.

sophie soph is soooo cute!

i love my little sister sophie so so so so so so much!
and i know she loves me too -- she loves to grip my finger, and last night, she smiled at me when i kissed her on her cheek. ema said it was just gas, but she did it twice in a row, so i think it was a real smile. this morning, she was smiling at ema and me when we were all cuddling in bed, so ema decided to try to get a picture of her smile. as you can see below, she made a lot of funny faces, but wasn't feeling all that smiley by the time we got her dressed and all. eventually, ema did manage to get one picture of her half-smiling -- at least you can see her dimples showing a little in that last one!


ema said that pretty soon she'll start smiling all the time, so hopefully we'll be able to show you her big smile in all it's glory soon.

when i met my sister

hi everybody!

here's a video i think you will all like to see. it is the very first time i held my baby sister, sophie.



as you can see, it is really fun holding her! i love to kiss her, too. i think she is sooo cute!

today, ema and daddy took a bunch of pictures of sophie so i could show you what my sister looks like. i'm posting a whole bunch of them because it seems like she's always making different faces. i thought if you saw a bunch of them, you'd get a better sense of her personality:





we've spent a lot of time trying to figure out if sophie and i look alike. at first, we were all sure that she looked just like me, but now we're starting to wonder. ema found some pictures of me when i was 3 days old to help us compare. what do you think?? who do you think she looks like?

we have a new baby!
