a little while ago ema and i decided we'd help out our friend, amy.  i've known amy since the second i was born, since she was there helping ema during my birth.  she has a great baby clothing company and she asked me if i could model some of her clothes.  since i love having my picture taken, i said, "of course!"

she walks!

i haven't posted for a while because i've been so busy with preschool and also because we were all really sick for a while. but we're feeling better, and we have some exciting news... sophie has started walking! she's really cute, but not too stable, as you can see in this video:



ema says that i didn't walk like this when i was a baby. i just stayed by walls until i was sure i'd be safe taking a step or two. sophie, on the other hand, tends to launch herself towards the closest object whenever she gets her balance in a free stand. that isn't really a problem when she goes for ema or daddy, but it is a little troubling when she goes for something like the coffee table. it's really neat, though, 'cuz she really is starting to get the hang of it. we're all really proud of her, but ema is a bit worried that sophie's daring approach to walking is giving us a hint about how she's going to go about life in general. as long as she keeps on smiling like she does, i'm not too worried!
